Prose can be whatever length the subject requires. We accept full articles and essays (for either general readers or scholars), reviews of relevant books regardless of publication date, and brief notes that might do no more than explain an obscure allusion or term in a war poem, or serve as exegesis of a passage within a poem. We also accept relevant memoir writings from poets who write war poetry, as well as their thoughts on aspects of craft. Obviously, send only writing that is your original work. Previously published writing is acceptable (revised or not) so long as you own the copyright and tell us about the previous publication so that we can credit the earlier publisher(s). Copyright of accepted prose remains the property of the writer.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
